Pixley Connect, a project of the Pixley Foundation in partnership with the Great Valley Center and AT&T Foundation, is an effort to narrow the digital divide in rural California. This project brings telecommunication access, education and training to the underserved, predominantly Spanish-speaking community of Pixley, California.
0n May 16, 2007, Pixley Connect celebrated its inaugural computer training awards ceremony. Families participating in the computer training course received a certificate of completion and a new desktop computer to take home.

Proud families held balloons and flowers as loved ones dressed in their best clothes sat on the stage of the Pixley Memorial Building. Streamers, burgundy and white, draped the hall. And cameras flashed as names were announced.
